When do the draws for the World Group I and II, World Group I and II Play-Off ties, and the Zonal Competitions take place?
The Draw for World Group I and World Group II is made by the Fed Cup Committee no later than the 31st December of the preceding year. The Draw for the World Group I and II Play-Off ties is made by the Fed Cup Committee no later than ten days after the conclusion of the World Group I and II first round ties. Draws for Zonal events are made shortly before the event starts, although participating teams are known from the conclusion of the preceding year’s competition, and dates / venues are set in the early part of the year.
