When does a shooting star come out?
These amazing streaks of light or a shooting stars you can sometimes see in the night sky are caused by tiny bits of dust and rock called meteoroids falling into the Earth’s atmosphere and burning up. Unfortunately, this streaks of light is only short-live because upon entering our atmosphere it will disintegrate into much more smaller pieces. If any part of the meteoroid survives burning up and actually hits the Earth, that remaining bit is then called a meteorite. So, for you to encounter another shooting star (which is not actually a star), you have to stare in the clear night sky where you can see so many stars and patiently wait for these amazing pieces of debris to show up. Prepare your wishlist because as I said this shooting star is short-live. Note: There will be a meteor shower on August 12, October 21, November 17/18, December 13/14, 2009.
