When does the Pop Warner Football season start and end?
Our season begins for all divisions on Saturday, August 1, 2009. Season usually ends for Mitey-Mites just before Thanksgiving. For all other divisions, they will have playoffs, bowl games and will travel to places like Laughlin or Las Vegas, Nevada for example. Their season ends about the 1st week of December. All teams except Mite-Mites will be competing for a National Championship held in early December at Disney’s Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Teams must win both Conference and Regionals to advance to this event. My child has never played Football before. Will they do okay? Many boys and girls who sign up have no prior experience. The coaches take this into consideration during the conditioning and initial instruction period in August. This is why it’s so very important for your child to attend every practice.
