A. If you are running the RedHat 3.XX or 4.XX OS, the problem may depend on the level of the “SELinux” security that you set when installing the OS. Changing the level of that security may allow XDMCP to connect properly. To change the security level, do the following. Edit “/etc/selinux/config” Find the line: SELINUX=enforcing Change it to: SELINUX=permissive Then reboot. That should fix it.
