When I use X-VCD Player to play the VCD I get the error “A problem occurred in initializing MCI” or “No MCI device open”. Any suggestions?

This will occur if X-VCD Player is unable to access the MPEG codecs on your system which are necessary for displaying VCD files. Try the links in the About Box (of X-VCD Player) to see if that resolves the problem.
