When is Inline Skating Time? Wednesday February 11, 2009 “Skating is Life” “Life…eat, sleep, skate.” There are many t-shirt slogans for skaters of all disciplines that focus on how skating will require a lot of your time. But, how often should you really skate? Many competitive athletes and serious fitness skaters may skate almost every day before or after school or work. There are bi-weekly, weekly, bi-monthly and when-I-can skaters, too. If you are skating for fun only, a “when-I-can” program is fine. Any amount of skating that fits into your lifestyle is better than none. A good, goal-oriented inline fitness skating session does not require extended distances or lengths of time at high speeds. But, to meet any skating, training or fitness goals, whatever they may be, a serious recreational or fitness inline skater will make an effort to commit to a regular schedule of skating.
