When making curtains, how wide should they be in comparison to the window?
depends on the look you are trying to achieve and purpose of curtain ( decoration or privacy) also depends on fabric. If you want it to be nice and full usually 2 1/2 times width of window but 2 times is more than enough usually. I would think tab top curtains are very similar in recommendations. They have flyer’s at fabric stores, like Joann’s that give you recommendations, you could also probably Google “curtain widths” and come up with an answer as well.
