When more than one soccer goalkeeper plays in a winning game, how is the winning goalkeeper determined?
The winning goaltender would be the goaltender that fulfills all of the following three conditions: -who played for the winning team, -who was playing as a goaltender, -who was doing both of these when the game-winning goal was scored. I’m adapting this definition from the implicit definition of _winning goaltender_ in an ice hockey game. Here’s a web address where you can find out more: proicehockey.about.com/od/learnthegame/a/stats_explained_2.htm I notice from la_flecha that soccer leagues hardly bother to keep statistics on the winning goaltender. If you want to start keeping statistics like these, by all means do so.
