When should i add pelleted chicken manure to my new border?
If you are creating a new border add the pellets to the soil a few days before planting. This gives it a chance to disperse through the soil and be ready for the plants to take up. In established borders, providing that the weather is warming up, spread in mid spring and give another application later in the summer. Do not feed after early August or you will be encouraging growth that will not have a chance to mature before he cold weather.
