Wait until she is 6 months old at least. At that time start her on a teaspoon of rice cereal mixed with either formula, boiled (cooled) water or breastmilk. Slowly over the next few weeks begin to introduce a little more food at each feed. You can mix a little rice cereal with mashed banana to make it a little more interesting. For lunch times you could steam or microwave a carrot or some other vegetables (eg zucchini, pumpkin, potato, sweet potato) and then mash it up really really well so there are no lumps. Try your girl on a new food every 3-4 days that way if she has an allergy you know which food gave it to her. I would suggest you either look on the net for baby foods or buy a book on parenting, baby food to give you some ideas and hints. Try and give her fresh fruit and vegetables as much as possible. Avoid adding any sugar OR salt as they dont need it. Start to give her boiled cooled water to drink with her meals as well starting from around 6 months or so. She doesnt need jui
