Although, it’s not unusual for the festivities to start the day before, on the 3rd of July and continue on until the day after, the 5th of July. My family has started the tradition of going into Boston on the 4th and getting a hotel room where we can watch the fireworks display that gets fired off over the Charles River. It’s very exciting and a great time to be in the city of Boston. Sources: This is my personal opinion.

July Fourth race a family tradition By COLIN SELBO – cselbo@nwnewsgroup.com ANTIOCH – For the past decade, Kelly Sheehan has celebrated the Fourth of July the same way each year. Fireworks are probably the first thing that comes to mind when one considers the Fourth of July holiday. No matter where you live, you can probably have a tailgate party or use the hood of your car for the treats and settle into some grassy area or parking lot to watch the night explode in color for free. Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, usually has fireworks after the baseball game and there are plenty of side streets to park on and view the show. Of course, there is always Disneyland’s nightly display that can be seen for miles. If you live in a town or county where they allow fireworks, then you can have the home “driveway extravaganza!” Sources: http://www.examiner.
