When was the Khaksar Tehrik (Khaksar Movement) founded and what were the Movements activities?
Allama Mashriqi laid the foundation for the Khaksar Tehrik in 1930. From 1930-1947, the Khaksars worked tirelessly for the cause; some of the main activities of the Movement were: focusing on character building, holding Khaksar camps and mock wars, organizing daily parades, spreading the Khaksar message, distributing motivational pamphlets, mobilizing people for freedom, providing community service, and forging brotherhood and unity (regardless of religion, caste, color or creed). These activities were geared towards nation building and were intended to convert the people into a robust force for seeking independence and reviving the lost glory of the nation.
