When were the first mobile phones invented?
The very first ones were created in the 70’s and they were ridiculous, to say the least. They were part of an entire suit case that carried the battery and all the electronics. In the early 80’s they were called car phones and the newest models were drilled into the floor of your car so could only be used in the car. I remember buying my first one in 1987 for over $600.00. It sat on a pedistal that was drilled into the floor of my brand new Mustang, then there was a ridiculously large antena on the back end of the outside of the car. I believe that was drilled in also. Oh so funny to picture how “cool” I was!
