When will all of the foods and ingredients in the ESHA database include Trans Fat data?

0

We are continually updating the trans fat values for foods in the database as this information becomes available from our data sources. Even though, as of January 1, 2006, trans fat is now a required label nutrient for manufactured products, data sources that are not impacted by the ruling, such a the USDA generic data, voluntary labeling data, or fast food data, can still choose whether or not they wish to include trans fat data with their nutritionals. At this point, approximately 50% of our database foods contain trans fat data.
