When will cPanel support IPv6?

0

Over the past 12 months, we at cPanel have been discussing the eventual global deployment of the up-and-coming IPv6 protocol. As IPv6 becomes the new standard, we are taking the time to assess the impact that IPv6 will have on our users and products, and the amount of time we will need to make our products fully compatible. Of course, a considerable amount of effort will need to go into planning, engineering, and executing a fully IPv6-compatible version of our products. Since mid-2009, IPv6 has been a part of our ongoing product roadmap. We’re currently conducting reviews of components of our software that will be impacted. We believe that 2010 will bring major wins for the protocol and our community, including advances in DNS, OS, and application-based compatibility. As the protocol moves into the mainstream, we remain dedicated to providing globally viable products by moving toward full IPv6 compatibility.
