When will Humanas Medicare Advantage plan coverage begin?
Coverage is usually effective on the first day of the month after Humana receives your completed and signed enrollment form. We’ll send you a letter confirming your coverage after the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approves your enrollment. Please continue your current coverage until you receive our confirmation letter. If you are scheduled for surgery or another medical treatment, you might want to delay your enrollment until after the procedure, simply to eliminate billing confusion for you and your providers.
