When will my 3 year son start talking fluently?
There’s a lot for kids to learn, and some get better at particular skills quicker than others, but may fall behind on other milestones. For example, my daughter was quite good at learning to talk, but took a little longer to walk. My son, on the other hand, was completely the opposite! So every child is different, but eventually, they all catch up with the basics in their own time. The fact that he’s not mixing might be an influence, as children learn through their environment, so if he’s not practicing talking as much, maybe it’ll take a little longer to learn. However, you can counteract that somewhat by making sure you talk to him a lot, read lots of stories to him, ask him what he’s playing, etc. But in general, they always get better at talking over time, so don’t worry too much. As long as he’s making himself understood, fluency will come with practice.
