Right now there are many new devices that support HDMI 1.3, the most popular being the new PS3, but as far as televisions go, you will not see any 1.3 compatible units until late January or early February. I know for a fact that all new Denon receivers and DVD players coming out this spring will be HDMI 1.3 compliant, and pretty much anything from the big 5 (Sony, Hitachi, Panasonic, Pioneer, and Samsung) displays will be as well. The only drawback to this is, that there is still no standardization for manufacturers to follow when it comes to this product. So there will still be products that will have issues. The cool thing about 1.3 however is that it means that the device will support control, and auto formatting. So when you hit play on your DVD player, your TV should switch to the correct input, and if the DVD isn’t exactly the right aspect for your TV, it will also auto format it to fit. Also this will fix some of the audio problems with 2.0 – 7.1 audio transfer as well. I hope t
