Any kind of wound will definitely produce a scar. In cosmetic surgery, incisions are very crucial and should be done along the Langer’s lines of the skin to conceal the scars upon healing in blepharoplasty, incisions are done along the folds of the upper eyelid and subciliary (few millimeters below the eyelashes) for the lower eyelids. It will take time for the scars to blend with the natural skin folds of the eyelids. Based on our experience at CARA Surgicenter, some of our clients’ blepharoplasty scars become unnoticeable as early as two months and as long as twelve months after the operation.
