When Will The Tree at Rockefeller Center Be Lit?
When Will The Tree at Rockefeller Center Be Lit? Saturday September 6, 2008The annual lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree marks the beginning of the holiday season for many New York City visitors and residents. Throughout the year, I get numerous emails about when the Tree at Rockefeller Center will be lit for the holiday season. (I even had someone email me once to ask me if I could arrange to have the Tree at Rockefeller Center lit early because they were going to be going home before it normally would be lit — unfortunately, I am not this influencial.) In the years that I’ve been keeping track, the Tree at Rockefeller Center is always illuminated on the Wednesday after Thanksgiving, but that date isn’t necessarily set in stone. For 2008, the tree lighting is currently scheduled for Wednesday, December 3, 2008. Visitors Guide: Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Visitors Guide:
