Where are diatomic molecules located in the periodic table?
To be chemically correct, there are no molecules, diatomic or otherwise on the Periodic Table of the Elements. But the elements that do form diatomic molecules are easy tro find: 1) All the halogens – Group 17- F,Cl,Br and I 2) the two elements in period 1 immediately to the left of F, that is O and N 3) By itself: H The element Astatine, At is an unstable manmade halogen. I suppose it should be given the stats of being diatomic, but it is not included in any list.
