I’ve never seen a bar with such an identity crisis. What is it, please someone tell me! Is it a metro/gay sportsbar/nightclub/restaurant? As usual in our fickle city everyone goes to the new place to be seen, and in most cases, such as this one, we only arrive to be let down. Few bars in this city have really wowed me, and this one is definitely not one of them. I don’t want to completely down grade them, its just not the upscale late night lounge or club that the ownership/management thinks or wants it to be. I read they were supposed to have the hottest staff in town and was totally let down in that department. The napoleonic muscle head with an attitude behind the bar didn’t exactly strike me as one for that category. I will say there were some good looking cocktails that were nice, but thats everywhere in this city. The cocktails in this city are easily comparable to Vegas or L.A., which goes without saying. I am rather confused as to the voting on citysearch, though. Its not a bad

Been to a lot of clubs/lounges throughout the country, I have seen snazzier, bigger places, but the atmosphere at candleroom is awesome. Not because of the place , but because of the people. (This is why a place stays in business over 1.5 years) The door guy Ali, is polite and courteous, not a muscle bound power hungary maniac. he is pretty fair in letting people on a first come basis regrdless of race or gender (unlike some places i know), sure the members get VIP service , but thats business, if you do not understand that, stay home and continue to watch reruns of “Freinds” Tommy D and Sean run a great place with a friendly staff. The only drawback is that i think it way too crowded on Saturday night, I say hold the line to let the folks enjoy themselves inside, or word of advise come early and avoid the lines. Prices are standard, DJ plays a mixture from top 40 , to classics, to songs everyone sings too. Good scene..an occasional celebrity or two on Wednsday/Saturday night. A

Went on a Saturday in Nov. 09 as the staff was very friendly. Loved the house music as so many other upscale venues including even Suite have resorted to predominantly Top 40s tracks. Great decor, lighting, and interior design but there are way too many “reserved” tables that were unoccupied throughout the night. Had to leave early that night for a prior commitment, but will definitely be back on a more crowded Saturday evening. Pros + Great overall atmosphere with solid tracks on Sat nightCons – Too many unoccupied “reserved” tables, heard Fridays were primarily top 40s

I’ve been to Wish a few times. It’s a pretty small place but it’s decorated high class. It’s a decent place if you want to get dressed up to…

The bartender in the back room on Friday night was pathetic at best. Lazy, slow and lacking in knowledge of drinks. I asked for a Jim Beam and Coke. He told me they didn’t have Jim Beam. I pointed to the shelf behind him at the full bottle of Jim Beam sitting there. Later I order a Disoronno sour. He gave me a generic brand amaretto. I told him that I had ordered Disoronno. He asked if I would just go ahead and take the no-name brand and he would use the Disoronno for the next order. The DJ Michael Roos however is one of the best in Dallas! Wow! What a song mixologist.Pros + The musicCons – Worst Bartender
