Where are the Best French Fries in Columbus, Ohio?
My husband and I eat here frequently while shopping at Easton. The food and the service is always excellent. They have some of the best sandwiches around and the prices are not too bad either. My husband enjoys their fish and chips while I usually dine on a “Chicken” burger. Very good, quick, casual eating experience.
Located in the Grandview area of Columbus, this pub is located in a small shopping center right on the street. There is a very small lot directly in front, as well as street parking nearby.Inside, the bar is on the left and the dining area is on the right. As with other locations, there is a nice collection of vintage breweriana around – old cans, signs, etc. The bar is tucked away in the rear corner and has a fair amount of seating. The beer selection is pretty good. The usual British Pub selections and some nice seasonals like GLBC Christmas and Bell’s Winter White. The food here is excellent, like every other location. The fish and chips is killer, and the sandwiches are great. All in all you can’t go wrong with any visit to one of the Old Bag of Nails pubs in the Columbus area.Pros + Great fish and chips
My friend and I stopped here because of a reccomendation, on our way from NYC to LA. I was kind of apprehensive upon reading about the delay in the seating process, as it was a friday night and we were still a good 3 hours away from Indianapolis (our first nights destination). As it was only a little over 2 miles off the 70, we figured we’d give it a shot and at least grab a beer (just one of course). We got there and sure enough it was packed, so we put our names down (about 8th on the list) then hit the potty. After washing up we went to the bar to grab a drink. The bartenders were very nice and touchy-feely (well at least Shotty VonTastetester). She kept coming up and rubbing us saying;”Everything okay boys?” Then when she would make shots for people, there somehow always magically managed to be one left over for herself. But Ill give it to her, her tolerance was high.I ordered the bacon burger. It was sooo good. It was served with chips and a pickle; both pretty good as well. S
Absolutely the best hamburger in town, possibly in the US! I used to work there, know how everything is made, and STILL eat there! Burgers are thick, juicy (best medium rare) NEVER FROZEN! Toppings as numerous as cobblestones in German Villiage. Try bacon and Blue, Cajun, or the incomperable garbage burger for a taste treat. Best of all, they are in Toledo, Detroit, Chicago, even Atlanta!Pros + Great Burgers, Fabulous Sandwiches, Apple Pie to die forCons – wait, esp on weekends
