We went into Don Pablo’s on the south side this past weekend with a large group. We were happy to get in there, because the crazy small On the Border near Greenwood Park Mall had a 1 1/2 hour wait. In the end I almost wish we’d waited. We were seated promptly enough. I ordered the grilled chicken tacos (the new special). It wasn’t bad but a similar dish at OtB is leagues better. And our service wasn’t much to write home about either. I got a drink (a mojito), and it was great, but I finished it and went about 15 minutes with no drink. I’m usually fine with this, especially with a large group, but it’s what happened next that kind of irked me. Toward the end of the meal my son knocked a drink on my wife’s lap as the waitress was stopping by to start dividing up the check. So my wife is sitting there with margarita on her lap and asks the waitress for some napkins. Palomino is a nice, upscale casual dining establishment in downtown Indy. It is located right beside the Circle Centre Mall and within walking distance of many, many downtown attractions and businesses. Service is typically top-notch, and the food is very good. Be willing to spend a little more than you might expect- it is worth a trip.

This is a very good place for lunch. a good Special menu, good food, and reasonable price.I have not had dinner here.I will say the management is very weak, and on some days they are under staffed making a quick lunch impossible. On the days they have their people in place I reccomend itPros + Good food at a reasonable PriceCons – Service can be poor, management is weak!

the food is fantastic, and the staff is friendly. The salsa is delish and packs a good amount of heat. I had the chicken mole, and it was the best I’ve eaten. Before last night the trophy for greatest mole sauce went to a restaurant in Brooklyn, now it belongs to El Sol. Friends of mine enjoyed the tacos, and fajitas and were as equally enthusiastic about their orders as myself. Next time I’m going to try the octupus/shrimp coktel (cocktail), I have high hopes that El Sol will win the trophy for that as well (currently held in Merriville,IN). Can’t wait to go back.Pros + best chicken mole I’ve ever had!!
