I think that the rating for pilates at the concord athletic club, is very accurate. I take pilates and it is the very best pilates class that I have ever taken. The teacher, Caroline is wonderful. She is very precise, and instructive…..very patient and very knowledgeable. The result is a client that gets a fantastic workout which includes strenthening and lenghtening of the muscles and focusing on the core muscles for better health and posture. I enjoy it immensly! way to go Caroline!! and Concord !!!

As of summer 2005, Spectrum at Rogers Ranch is the nicest health club in San Antonio. The equipment is great, personal TV on the Precor, indoor pool, outdoor pool with slide for kids. Lately, the equipment has been dirty (sweat puddles left under the machines for hours and hours! eww). The management tends to be completely unresponsive to complaints about equipment, policies, etc. So if you have a problem, don’t waste your breath! Lately though, things have been getting better (which is probably b/c of competition moving in). The cost for a family is pricey ($193 per month) relative to other clubs, particularly its direct competition Lifetime Fitness — a new club that is opening Dec 2005, nearby (281/Sonterra). Lifetime has all the ammenties of Spectrum, and more, for 1/2 the price. Many members are leaving Spectrum for Lifetime.Pros + outdoor pool, awesome staffCons – overpriced, management, cleanliness
