It’s like the American/French version of dim sum, except replace the waiters with carts with balloon artists! Cafe Tu Tu is a place you go more for the experiece than the food, though the food’s great too. There are artworks hanging everywhere that are all on sale, making it feel like a restaurant and gallery in one. it’s a good place to go ifyou’re not feeling TOO hungry, and you just want to hang out somewhere that has a artsy vibe and live entertainment.

I found this place online and visited 3 times from San Diego. The music is so good!! DJ has great variety of latin music, even threw in some hip hop and old skool. The place has plenty of room/potential to be something more than it is. It seems as if the place isn’t advertised as it should be, since it has so much room available. Could use more people to attend the place and make it a happening place. Never tried the food, so only commenting on the night life venue. over all, because of the music, def. going back!

We checked in at the Hyatt Newport and asked the concierge to recommend a restaurant and without hesitation he said “Oysters”. So we had him make us a reservation. We showed up about 30 minutes early and thought we would have a drink at the bar. The maitre d’ said he could seat us right away if we wanted, so we took him up on his offer. We started off with the Spicy Salmon Tempura Roll which was incredible. Then we had the Kung Pao Calamari. This is one of the best dishes I have ever had, the calamari was tender, sweet, spicy, fabulous!!!! The entrees were just as incredible. I had the Halibut with shrimp risotto and my wife had the white sea bass with creamy mashed potatoes abottle of Hitching Post Pinot Noir to go with it and i’m talking culinary heaven. Our server was top notch, pleasant, knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, a real pleasure. After the meal the comped us after dinner drinks, a Tuaca for me and an Amaretto for my wife. Pros + Food, ServiceCons – Non

I found this place thru citysearch and been there couple of times and highly recommend to others. Food is decent and great ambience. It seems more like a bar cause they got a huge bar in the middle of the restaurant but i guess it’s good for people watching and hang out. I highly recommend this place except for one waitress named Shawna, she doesn’t smile and not so friendly. Other than that, it’s all good.

Last night my best friend Bill and I ate at the cooking bar and had a nice cozy spot all to ourselves. We shared the spincah salad which had some very interesting spinach…red colored…but the cheese crouton and dressing with candied walnuts made the salad delicious.Bill had chicken and mashed potatoes which were reportedly delicious. I did get a bite of the potatos. I had the special tomatoes and cheese, can’t remember the fancy name but it was fabulous. For dessert, yes we had barely enough room, was an incredible french toast tiramisu with bananas and walnut ice cream!Yum yum yum…have always liked this corner dining spot and it’s still as good as when it first opened…although quite different with the creative touches and tastes of Chef Ryan Adams and Manager Lori McLean. Kudos to all!Pros + Wonderful food, great ambianceCons – Like most restaurants these days, a little noisy
