Where are the Democratic and Republican parties positioned on the political spectrum?
Colin Powell addressed that today as one of the reasons for endorsing Obama. The Republican party is being run by a minority religious ultra-conservative right, not the majority. Those same people (Rove’s minions) are running McCain’s campaign. If McCain had run as himself he probably would have won. I truly believe Obama is more centrist that you might believe (in spite of his so called “liberal” voting record). He is going to involve all sorts of people (Dems, Repubs, black, white, pink) in his government and we will ALL be the better for it.
