Where are the pressure points on the human body?
The term “pressure point” can mean many things and the potential of pressure points to paralyse, knock out or otherwise control people is exaggerated in film and martial arts fantasy. Nonetheless, there are places on the body which are particularly sensitive to pain and this can be used to manipulate another person’s behaviour or action. The spot directly under the nose is quite sensitive to pressure, for example, as are the tops of the eye sockets (a relatively light touch here enables you to move the head backwards easily, with the rest of the body following) Pinching (hard) the skin underneath the upper arm, where the triceps muscle is located, will allow you to attract someone’s rapid attention and quickly move them away from that space. The same goes for a generous pinch of the skin and nerves which run down either side of the neck.
