Where are the skating and hockey rinks?
There is free skating at Val Smith Park and the outdoor rink at the Berniks Arena. The rinks can be found at Bernicks Arena on Pine Cone Rd., and Val Smith Park on the east side of the river on 1st Street and 4th Ave. East. Supervisors are on duty in the warming houses during open hours. Warming Houses are open on school days from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and on non-school days from 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. There is also an unmanned ice skating rink located in the parking lot of the Sartell Golf Course off of Pine Cone Road North. There is an unheated shelter there to change your skates.
