$300 sounds FAR too inexpensive for a Persian. Especially in Singapore where there’s probably only a handful of breeders – if any. In the US a pedigreed Persian STARTS at about $600 for pet quality and into the thousands for show quality. You also want to make sure you’re dealing with a reputable breeder or can end up with a PKD+ kitten. A cat with PKD – Polycystic Kidney Disease – can go into renal failure and die as young as four years old. Reputable breeders test their cats and never breed PKD+ animals – bad breeders don’t – and can churn out litter upon litter of PKD+ kittens. Also note that NO reputable breeder would EVER let a Persian kitten leave the mother until they’re 12-14 weeks old. They’re a breed that’s slow to develop. So if you do find someone selling 2 month old kittens – run the other direction. Why do you want a kitten that young, anyway?
