Where can I buy flamenco shoes and skirts?
You do not need to wear flamenco shoes/skirt for your first lesson. Before buying shoes and skirts we recommend you to speak to your teacher to make sure you know what you need. Buying cheap beginners flamenco shoes on the internet is often the cheapest option but not the best. If they are very cheap shoes it means also there are low quality which can lead to foot injuries. Dance wear shops will often sell you character/latin dance shoes which look similar to flamenco shoes but that are different. There are 3 types of flamenco shoes; beginners, semi-professional and professional (handmade). While beginner shoes will last you about a year depending on how many hours a week you use them, professional shoes will last you nearly forever. Not all the skirts are the same either. Please seek for advice before buying your flamenco gear to make sure you know what to buy to avoid further spending.
