You are correct. These are skater jeans. Skaster wear baggy pants, not skinnies. This is because baggy pants give better movement and skinnies rip if you fall off. The only “skaters” who wear skinny jeans are wannabes and scene kids. For similar pants look for combat trousers, carpenter jeans and cargo pants. You want something that is comfortable, not because it’s the latest fad. If you can’t find anything just buy a pair of regular jeans one or two sizes bigger than what you normally wear.
