Where Can I Find an EMT Training Program in San Diego?
The San Diego Community College District (www.sdccd.edu) provides EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Training in San Diego County. The district consists of three 2-year community colleges: San Diego City, San Diego Mesa and San Diego Miramar. Each campus offers a course in basic EMT training. These EMT training programs deal with symptom recognition and treatment in emergency situations, pre-hospital care and transportation of the sick and injured, use and maintenance of emergency equipment and procedures which fall under the responsibility of an EMT. In addition, the standard EMT training program is made up of lectures as well as field work in an emergency room or aboard an ambulance.
