OSHA has developed a Four-Pronged Comprehensive Approach to ergonomics that the agency believes will quickly and effectively address MSDs in the workplace. This approach includes industry specific guidelines, enforcement through the general duty clause, outreach and assistance, and research recommendations with the help of an advisory committee.
