Look online to see if you have a "Habitat for Humanity" store in your area. The money that is spent there helps people in the area. Usually, they have an expensive part in the front and an inexpensive area in the back of the store. Everything is donated. I needed a small desk for my craft room and I went to the one here where I live last week and bought a desk that looks brand new (perfect for what I needed it for) for only $25. I was lucky because I just happened to go on a "half off the price" day. Still, at regular prices the used stuff is pretty reasonable and you're also helping out those in your community. If you happen to go in and at first you see all new, expensive stuff - don't freak out. They usually have two sections. Real fancy rich looking stuff in the front (that's new) and used stuff in the back. ... more
