Where can I find the issue number on my maestro bank card?

I don’t know if it is the same thing, but with my UK bank card, it used to be ‘Switch’ which had an issue number on it. The bank changed it to Maestro and now doesn’t have an issue number. I have never had a problem buying anything online without an issue number. I think Switch and maestro (in the UK) are the same thing, except Maestro is the updated version, so whilst I still get an issue number box when filling out details, I just leave it blank and the payment is accepted. If you have tried buying something and failed because they insist on an issue number, then I would contact your bank. I have just checked my Maestro card and it has a 13 digit number across the middle. If yours doesn’t have this, then it may be a different kind of card. Mine is a debit card rather than a credit card.
