Where can I find the Recreational Vehicles Industrys averages for financial ratios?
This may be kind of difficult. Most financial websites like Yahoo! Finance and CNBC.com will group Harley-Davidson with automotive dealers (e.g. Honda, GM, Ford). To come up with a true industry average, you will probably have to create your own by using a spreadsheet (Excel). You can find most of your ratios from the above mentioned websites. But first, you will have to decide what companies should be included in your average. This will obviously be other companies that create recreational vehicles. The first companies that come to mind when I think Recreational vehicles are Polaris (PII), Bombardier (BDRAF.PK), Suzuki (SZKMF), and Yamaha (YAMCF.PK). Notice that most of these companies are “pink slip” or “over the counter” stocks (not listed on an exchange). As a result, many of the financials you need may not be listed on the financial websites, and you may need to dig up the company financials and compute your own ratios via the company’s web site.
