There is no such thing as a cheap dog. Take into consideration, “cheaper” now can add up to more expensive later when you’re up to your neck in vet bills. Also consider the origin of the breed, and the temperament problems that are common with them. I am not about to breed discriminate, but the Dogo is not yet perfected, as it is a “man-made” breed, and buying from an inexperienced breeder can be a VERY risky decision. With that said, look into petfinder.com, or a rescue group.
Food for thought – if you’re looking for a “cheaper” dog, you’re going to get what you pay for. Considering that this is a breed that can have temperament issues, I would really NOT recommend “cutting corners” if you’re looking at a breeder. Try a rescue group that keeps their animals in foster homes, so you can have an idea what the dog’s temperament and personality are before you adopt…
