Where can I get datajack splitters?
Datajack splitters can be retrieved in advance, in small quantities, from Network Operations Center in the Science Center basement. Splitters will not work in datajacks that have not had the appropriate wiring modifications performed on them. How come a datajack that worked for six months would suddenly have a problem? Datajacks without connections registered to them can be reused when a new connection request requires such a port. Datajacks without connections registered to them are not guaranteed to stay connected to the network and can be disconnected without warning. Other problems can occur due to work done in the wiring closet by FAS Network Operations, the university telephone group, or other contractors.
