The following organizations can provide additional information: • The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) supplies general information and support and offers three brochures on schizophrenia, which in turn refer to books, Web sites, and other sources. • The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) also has brochures and other resources available at no charge. • The National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression (NARSAD) publishes an informative brochure entitled "Understanding Schizophrenia."
