Where can I obtain vital info for the England National Bus Pass and Freedom Pass?
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was a site that did all that?! Sadly our nation has opened its public transport, utilities, postal service etc to ‘competition’ which means it is nearly impossible for consumers to find out information like you are after because that would help the competitors, wouldn’t it? Never mind. I’m not sure what you mean though by ‘times vary’ on the routes. According to the Government website:- “Everyone aged 60 or over who is resident in England is entitled to free off-peak local bus travel anywhere in England using a National Bus Pass. Off-peak travel is when you travel any time between 9.30am and 11.00 pm, Monday to Friday, and at any time on weekends and public holidays.” Have a bash at traveline.org.uk for journey planning. Or contact the Tourist Info Centres of the places you want to visit. They will know off the top of their head which long distance bus routes are running.
