Where did 28 Year-old Avenged Sevenfold drummer, James Owen Sullivan, The Rev, die?
HUNTINGTON BEACH — An autopsy was pending today on the body of 28-year-old Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan, the drummer for the hard rock band Avenged Sevenfold, following his sudden death. Sullivan was found unresponsive Monday at his Huntington Beach home, authorities said.”It appeared to be natural causes,” said Lt. John Domingo of the Huntington Beach Police Department. “It’s a coroner’s case.””The decedent is a 28-year-old male discovered unresponsive inside of his residence,” the Coroner’s Department stated on its Web site. It said that an “investigation is ongoing.”Avenged Sevenfold issued a statement on its Web site Monday.”It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy `The Rev’ Sullivan,” the statement said.”Jimmy was not only one of the world’s best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Avenged Sevenfold drummer James Owen Sullivan (The Rev), was found dead at his home in southern California according to today’s circulating reports. His death currently thought to be a natural death, but as usual, it will be investigated by the coroners office and the mystery will take hold on our curriosity until a final report is given on cause of death. In my opinion, this 28 year-old sensation was probably the best drummer in todays rock/metal society and it is his work that turned me on to this band and the excellent music they produce. I can’t even begin to speculate who could even fill his shoes and move the band forward . It is known that the band was working on a fifth album. The California band’s previous albums include: 2001- Sounding the Seventh Trumpet (produced after two demos when the band members were 18 and in highschool), 2003- Waking the Fallen, 2005- City of Evil, and 2007-Avenged Sevenfold.
