Here are some places to take your discards that wont result in additional expense to the Association and its homeowners: DeKalb Farmers Market recycling center (E. Ponce De Leon Ave., Decatur) Accepts cardboard, steel and aluminum cans, glass bottles, office paper, and magazines. DeKalb County Landfill Seminole Road Landfill (404-244-4893) 4203 Clevemont Rd, Ellenwood; accepts discarded furniture, old appliances, building materials, carpet, etc. A Goodwill truck is stationed in the North DeKalb Mall parking lot and accepts most goods. Furniture Bank of Atlanta (404-355-8530) accepts indoor furniture, including mattresses, in good condition. Call to schedule a pick-up. American Kidney Fund (404-658-1320) comes monthly to Tuxworth to pick up clothing and small household items.
