0

Our FLEXlm directory is 4.2-*/lic where the contents are: • S99license • lmhostid (On windows it would be lmutil.exe) • lmgrd • ICEM_CFD (New license daemon) • icem (Old license daemon) • license_daemons/lic_daemons_40.tar.gz • license.dat (will be supplied by ICEMCFD) • logs/license.log (will be created once license daemon is started) Most new Workstations provide Host ID through “lmhostid”. The most current tools can be downloaded from GLOBEtrotter, see http://www.globetrotter.com/flexlm/lmgrd.shtml On Windows the command to get Host ID is “lmutil.exe lmhostid”. The useful commands to start/stop the license daemon would be: • S99license start (to start the license server through script) • S99license stop (to stop the license server through script) • lmgrd -c license.dat > logs/license.log& (to start server manually) Some of the important license related variable settings would be: • ICEM_ACN /xx/4.2-sgi • ICEM_LICENSE_FILE /xx/4.2-sgi/lic/license.dat:/yy/lic2.dat • LM_LICENSE_FILE /x
