There are a couple of ways, and I’ll assume this is a piece you own. . . First, you could try checking artnet.com. It is a fabulous resource for art pricing. Basically, it provides a record of past auction prices for a huge range of art work, but you may have to register an account to find what you’re looking for. Also, you’ll probably need the artist’s name. So, another option: a lot of commercial galleries will do a free valuation for you, if you are looking to sell the print. Browse local listings of galleries & pick ones that seems to specialise in turn of the century prints and give them a call. What they will probably need is a jpeg of the work as well as any information you have about the piece (artist, title, date, edition number, or really just whatever you have). If it’s framed, see if you can easily take off the back of the frame because there may be extra information on the back of the picture. If you don’t think you can do that easily and safely, then don’t risk it. Prints
