Where do NCIS special agents train?
Individuals selected to become an NCIS special agent must first complete the 11-week Criminal Investigators Training Program (CITP) at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Glynco GA. As an immediate follow-on, NCIS agents must also complete a 10-week Special Agent Basic Training (SABT) course that is NCIS specific. It teaches the NCIS report writing system, manuals, and field training exercises. NCIS is one of more than 80 law enforcement agencies that train at FLETC. Others include the U.S. Secret Service and the U.S. Marshals Service.
