Where does Chelmsfords drinking water come from?
About 75 percent of residents in Chelmsford receive their water from the Chelmsford Water District, which has fourteen wells located in various parts of town. These fourteen wells draw water from the Concord River Basin and the Merrimack River Basin. After it is pumped from the ground it is sent to one of the treatment plants and then on to homes, businesses and even your schools.
