Where does one draw the line between perseverance and denial of reality?

These two are not mutually exclusive, so there isn’t really a line between them. To see reality clearly enables one to make good choices about whether or not to persevere. To not see clearly means you can’t tell whether perseverance is appropriate or not. So it all hinges on being in touch with reality; which I define as the absence of interfering beliefs (i.e. beliefs interfere with perception…) EDIT===================== Alright, Jodie (44 or 444 or whatever your number is today). Since you persist here, let’s just suppose you’re serious about the quiche thing and you want clarification of my typically obscure answer. What I’m talking about here is that having a clear mind is the basis for knowing what to do — to persist or not to persist. I’ve found this is a somewhat unpopular answer, it seems that people really want *formulas*, e.g. they want tips and techniques, rules of thumb, etc. Basically folks want answers that they can write down and memorize, that they can get both hands
