I’m glad you asked! Remember, there are no such thing as stupid questions. The term locksmith originated when certain metal-smiths began to specialize in making locks. As there became more demand for lock making, many smiths began to specialize in the trade and a new name was born: Locksmith. Today locksmiths don’t spend as much time making their own custom locks, though some do. I don’t know where this term came from, but I am glad that it exists. Soooooo many times I needed to use this word, seems like my house was the favorite location for thieves. After a few times that broke into my house, I decided to improve the protection of my house. So I called a nearby local lock & key professional that also had a good experience in the security system that helped me improve the protection of my house. I have to admit that he did a great job with my house security system because now I don’t have anymore problems with thieves. I also bought a pitbull to hear if someone tries to break my home haha

I believe that the term is created from the word lock and the blacksmith who forged the locks. Why are you interested? It’s just that you’ve heard of the Baader-Meinhof effect? Recently, I called the locksmith wizard from the https://securelocks.net/ site and now I come across the word locksmith everywhere. It sounds stupid, but at the same time I wonder why this is happening.
