Where in egypt did Cleopatra live?
Cleopatra lived in the beautiful coastal city of Alexandria which had a mixed population of native Egyptians, Greeks, and Jews. It was a grand metropolis, much admired by the Greeks and Romans. Some of the famous landmarks of ancient Alexandria were : the Great Lighthouse (one of the 7 wonders of the world), the palace of the Ptolemies (where Cleopatra lived), the Great Library of Alexandria (the largest collection of books in the world at the time and a great centre of learning), the tomb of Alexander the Great who was perfectly preserved in an open coffin clothed in his war armour.
